So this is Leonard the rabies infested eagle attacking a helpless mouse. He's been having a hard day.... haha Actually this is a fast illustration for a Conceptart.org competition involving designing stylized versions of animals. Each month they give an animal and the winner gets published in 2DArtist Magazine. Check me out at http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1241613 . design studies

These newest pieces I did are early character design studies for one of my senior thesis pitches. These thesis' are 1 to 2 minute computer animated shorts that are worked on all of next year. I REALLY need your guys' help and opinion. Just based on appeal alone which of the heads are you finding the most succesful (colored or not)?? I labeled them to help ... After I select my better ones I will do variations in hair stlye and the placement of the facial features, then body, clothes, etc, etc. I hope to post the progressions and gain some valuable feedback from you guys. I'm excited to see your responses! Take care! Oh, and by the way I haven't locked down if the character will be male or female yet so at this point I'm open to either.

Finally able to post this guy. This turned out to be a real personal piece about the journey that is long distance realationships. I'm happy to have learned the beauty that is switching between Photoshop and Painter, and will be doing this much more. Go Figure

I was sitting one day and I said to myself: "I don't think I gots any figure work on my blog."
So now I have figure works on my blog . These guys are either vine charcoal, charcoal pencils, or graphite on newsprint done in the last 2 months. The mysterious lack of legs and feet is because those are the main weaknesses in my pieces so I'm focusing on them for a while. Enjoy.

Forgot about these guys that I did for my pre-production class. I ended up getting my animatic passed so that piece may possibly be my thesis. I'm working on another concept though because the current one is almost too big to do in the time available. Anyways I did these in the old Warner Bros Maurice Noble stlye. Great fun.

So I'm real happy that I'm I'm animating. Modeling, rigging, and blending are things that i do tooooooo slow!

Anyways heres me with the same textures as last time. Ill have them fixed soon and am in the process of an animation test so I'll post that. Sleep=smiles.
