This weekend went by in a flash! I flew to San Franciso/Emeryville Friday night and flew out Sunday morning. But it was worth it. The main event was the Totoro Forest Project's auction at Pixar studio Saturday evening. I had to check off a life's goal when I walked into the Pixar lobby. That place is magical to say the least. I met a ton of my heroes and tried my best not to make a dummy of myself in front of them. Congrats to Dice, Enrico, Ronnie, and Yukino! All the pieces sold, fulfilling the ultimate goal of the project....and raising a pretty penny for the Sayama Forest.
I did the sketches above in between lay-overs and on my spare time. San Fran is great, I hope to stay a little longer next time. I also put up a pic of the beatutiful book that was created for the event. Great job Leslie and Xiaoqing, the book is to notch! You can pick it up at
