More sketching!

I should have a shrine in the corner of my room for Fechin drawings. The more I look at them the more I feel the need to sit down and have fun and render some figures/heads. So when I have a chance that's what I've been doing. The single page with a bunch of heads is a warm-up from the sketchbook. The other are from the moleskine as well, but I did them at a figure session. Allright gotta go and paint...(I'll post the last progress shot of the Mt. Rushmore painting later tonight).
take care,
-francis

Opps! I clicked something I shouldn't have. Anyway I meant to say that I'm a huge Fechin fan too. so much that I have his drawings above my desk to remind me what good drawing is supposed to look like. I even put some of them on the boards at school. Nicolai Fechin totally rocks the party!

Hey man,

remember me from Revelations? Your work is looking great man, and I have to agree with you about Fechin, he's incredible.

Take care man, and keep up the excellent work!

Hi Francis!

I'm not sure where I saw your work first, I think it might have been off of CMYKmag.com...anyway, you rock and keep it up.

I was wondering if you were doing anything special to get a range of tones when you scan your graphite-y drawings. Or are they photos?

I cannot tell you how much I enjoy the variety of your drawings each time i look at your blog. your ability to switch between realism and caricature is really impressive. Also, I finally got the High Tec-C pens you suggested a while back. They are fun, although they slow me down a bit since the tip is a little too thin for my taste ;-)
Keep rocking man. :-)
