San Diego sketches!

So San Diego might be one of the flyest cities I've been to so far. It was a blast. All the nerds (and artists....with me being both) converged on the Convention Center for Comic Con 2008. It was great meeting all my heroes! Thanks to everyone that took the time out to talk and scope out my work, I really appreciate it. While I was there I did some doodling and these pages are the result. I think one of them was done before SD but most of them should be from the trip. I can't believe that I forgot to draw one of the bike cab dudes. I seen as many of those guys as comic books....haha

all the best,
-francis

Oh my god I was so tempted to use one of those bike guys after a long day of walking/comic con-ning. 20 bucks per person!

yeah san diego is beautiful, there is so much to see, draw, eat hah. love your interpretation!~

Hey man it was great seeing a familiar face and your work is amazing! I hope the Con treated you well. It sounds like it did. I honestly can't compare the size and magnitude of the comic con with any thing else I have ever experienced, ever! Did you see any of the panels in that massive auditorium with room for like 16 thousand people?

Sweet sketches Francis. This year was one of the first I didn't attend (which was a tough decision because it's always a BLAST) -- glad you had such a good time man. Maybe I'll see you there next year if you're set up in a booth or something.

Best,
Jim
