Do yourself a favor and check out this blog:

Make sure to go through the archives. The posts are incredibly well written and informative on a variety of great topics. And for a giant art book nerd like me, the author Mathew Innis recommends, and gives links, to a ton of phenomenal art books (many of which I've never seen before.)

best!

nice! thanks for the link.
Also, thanks for being an amazing artist, and one of my top influences as a struggling illustrator. It's encouraging to know that artists my age are able to accomplish success.

Francis-

Thank you for the compliments and kind words. They are always encouraging.

I guess I am quite the art book nerd myself. The books provide me with so much inspiration, and have helped to educate me when art school couldn't. I just need enough space to house them all, and time enough to read them!

My schedule has been quite erratic lately, so I haven't posted as much as I would like. Keep checking back for new posts. Hopefully when I get back on track, I'll be able to check out your sites in greater detail. In the mean time, keep up the great work!

All my best-

Matthew Innis

Do you know where I can purchase James Jean SKB SB-1000 pens at? They're not being sold in the US...only Taiwan.
