Speaking of Christmas, here is a female nude....kidding..haha. Actually, these are some better pics of that painting I did for the Nucleus 5 year show. Big ups to the California connection Kendra for the photos. To be 100%, I'm not very pleased with how it turned out, but it was a therapeutic process. It changed drastically, and I should have let it go, waaaay earlier than I did. Similar to this piece. Complicated does not equal better..hah. A lesson I'm still trying to learn!

On a side not, my pops made a top notch custom frame for this piece. Thanks dad!! The first of many from the Vallejo men I'm sure.

may your holidays be merry,

I dont know if I like the 4th stage or the final better. Either way the texture you created is completely amazing. I want to run my hand across it to "see" what it feels like! If you pursue this look, can't wait to see what else you come up with. Happy holidays.

I like the final state very much. As well as the entire process, interesting part is to documentate it with photos. Complicate isnt equal good, there are good complications and bad ones I guess, but this one is good, man :)

It's interesting how each step in the process is a unique piece of art in itself. Your blog is always such an inspiration. Happy Holidays!

big ups for an amazing piece, i love how you've contrasted a soft figure with crazy rough texture. your pieces seem to through through hundreds of transitions before you settle!
